OLD ACTOR

I have been in many movies,

so many I forget their names.

The faces of my co-stars,

when I reach into my mind

for them, are blurred.

I was important once.

Back then, the flashbulbs popped for me.

Now no one even knows I’m there

until I’m in the way.
